An industry-well-known community and commercial filmmaker cum executive producer for corporate communications, as well as a guest speaker and a visiting lecturer at government and private institutes including the master classes of Film and Drama Department, National University of Arts and Culture, Yangon, where Wunna presents his more than 23 years of experience and knowledge in filmmaking, consumer behaviours, and creative management subjects from start to finish, including videography and digital post-production workflow.​
Winner of several creative awards including 2nd winner of ASEAN New Media Art Competition 2006, ASEAN COCI, Jakarta, Indonesia with 15 15-minute 3D cartoon animation movie named “ Htoo Htoo in Wonder Island”, UNICEF 4 Cleans Project Storyboard Award with cartoon animation storyboard named “ Modern Donation" so on.

Worked with reputable global agencies, including BBC, CNA, AFP, Asia INC Forums, World Vision, Save The Children, Goethe Institute, and UNESCAP among others and helped industry-leading associations and new filmmakers suit their prospective goals.​

Wunna Kyaw & American director Berry Pousman made a documentary film named “ My Hidden City: Mrauk U Heritage Film ” which won 13 awards throughout the world film festivals it is about one of the famous ancient cities that need to be enlisted as a UNESCO world heritage site.

A book writer, music composer, and cyclist, and managed a production house called "Miracle Post Media Production", a cyclo-tourism business called "Nature Ride Myanmar" and marketing and public relations services called "Hop Agency Myanmar” until 2021. He scaled down all those businesses after the political & economic crisis.

Achieved Executive MBA degree from Yangon University of Economics with the research paper named “ Competitive Forces on Myanmar Cinema” in 2017.

Since 2015, Wunna Kyaw has been employed as a Sony Alpha brand ambassador in Myanmar for the video category by Sony Asia Pacific, Singapore.​

He participated as a jury member of "The Asian Academy Creative Awards 2022,2023, 2024 (Singapore) "and international film festivals such as Human Rights & Human Dignity Film Festivals 2014-2017, and Science Film Festival 2012 by Goethe Institute.​
He wrote hundreds of articles & papers about the Myanmar film industry & mass communication. Published his first book " Bias & Creativity" which printed more than 1500 copies & was kept by some of the local universities & schools' libraries. 2nd book “ Creative Arts and Creative Business” will be published in mid-2024.​
Now he lives at the Asian Institute of Technology, Pathum Thani, Thailand; continuing his research & writings about community filmmaking, development & sustainability for the film industry's impact on social changes & audience behaviours.​
Currently, he is working as a professional member of the National Copyright Infringement Protection Committee under the Myanmar Motion Picture Development Branch, Ministry of Information for Film Industry Development & sustainability.
