Maximizing Filmmaking Potential: My Role as a Technical Consultant for Thai-Myanmar Media Projects

A Thai-Myanmar joint media production hired me as a Filmmaking Equipment Specialist and Technical Consultant to support their latest film, series, and documentary projects. I was responsible for assessing the full workflow and sourcing professional gear for the Camera & Grip Department—selecting and setting up equipment worth over 2.5 million THB from Bangkok’s top film gear market.

I chose:

 • Sony Burano for Cam A

 • Sony FX6 for Cam B

The Sony ecosystem continues to grow rapidly in Thailand, offering unmatched cost efficiency and a wide range of third-party accessories—making it a smart choice for dynamic production environments. Only two pieces of equipment had to be ordered from Singapore due to local unavailability. Looking ahead, I’ll also be heading to Yangon to conduct hands-on training sessions for the local team.
